AGNI: Kundalini Yoga Intensive for Higher Learning

“Ultimately you come into relationship to the universe and understand YOU already ARE and this brings you to the practical experience of Infinity”
- Yogi Bhajan on Kundalini Yoga
Lea Kraemer with Guest Teachers
Course Dates: March - June 2008

AGNI was designed for teachers and practitioners with a strong desire to deepen their practice and knowledge of yoga. A dynamic course for study and contemplation held for the first time in September of 2001, Agni is open to advanced students, yoga teachers, and healers of all traditions! Concentration is on the power of Prana and the grace of Kundalini.

Agni is a comprehensive intensive made up of Kundalini Yoga sets, Meditations and ageless Kriyas as given by Yogi Bhajan, our divine teacher, who brought this spiritual technology to the West in the late 1960's. Agni is not KRI Kundalini Level 1 certification, as many are already available. It is joyfully presented as a forum for higher learning, an ideal course for teachers who wish to refine their knowledge and skills. Agni can help you to expand and elevate your teaching or healing practice, or sharpen your tools to enter into a certification program. Mostly, the intensive creates an opportunity for those souls who wish to dive deeper into themselves, a Kundalini awakening, and a place to practice with others of a similar thirst.

This intensive can transform your teaching or healing practice, or assist you with excellent tools to enter into a certification program.

As an exploration into the self, classes cover physical alignment and asana, anatomy, the pranic body, nadis, the subtle body, chakras, the mind and the soul. We study the science of yoga through Patanjali's YOGS SUTRAS, The KRIYA YOGA UPANISHAD, VIJNANA BHARAIVA and other historical texts, as well as Yogi Bhajan's THE MIND, a more recent text.

Guided by Lea Kraemer, founder and director of PRANA MANDIR Yoga Studio, a Kundalini and Vinyasa Yoga teacher for over 15 years. Her passion is teaching principles of inner and outer alignment so that each student experiences a wellspring of light and wisdom within. Lea encourages students to seek the inner flame through constant effort, attention, and divine love and offers Agni with this intention. Guest teachers are Doctors of Western and Eastern medicine. Dr. Larry Palevsky, Pediatrician and "medical revolutionary", teaches physical anatomy and leads discussions on wellness with regard to our own unique emotional/physical relationship. Julie Willimott, certified Acupuncturist, introduces Traditional Chinese Medicine and the meridians and internal organs which they govern through an awe of nature, and a great respect for the human energetic system.

A teacher is a channel for the Guru's Grace. Past participants have included Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga teachers, energy workers, Reiki healers, therapists, and Yoga teachers of various Hatha and Kundalini Yoga traditions. Participants in Agni are asked to become involved in community outreach through seva (selfless service). Certified teachers and healers have the opportunity to give back by teaching within their own modality at a hospital, studio, or wellness center. Students of Yoga may support this outreach through development and coordination of projects. Our intention is to facilitate Yoga and Meditation classes where they can best be of service.

To graduate from Agni a written "experience" is required, and will be given out on the last day of class. The physical "exam" is the group offering of a Yoga Retreat Day open to all. Proceeds are donated to a pre selected charity.
